The Ultimate Halong Bay Experience

My wife and I took the 45-minute flight from Hanoi to Halong Bay with the 15-minute bonus flight around the bay. The plane lands right on the water and taxis to a boat ramp. We then took an overnight cruise on Halong Bay with a separate company. I highly recommend this flight. It is well worth the cost to see the beauty of Halong Bay by air. And a great contrast to seeing it from the boat!

Whilst in Vietnam we very much wanted to visit beautiful Halong Bay but were put off by the prospect of a 4 hour road trip each way. The option of the seaplane was a great alternative- very quick and exciting experience. Pilots were great and very good scenic tour when there.

Hai Au Aviation have their own gate at Hanoi Airport. We got scenic tour and the weather was just perfect. Landing in the water was the best! Upon arrival in Ha Long the company representative picked us up in a golf cart and transported us to the marina to board our overnight cruise.
We did however take the 4hour bus ride back to Hanoi, just so we could see the best of both worlds. If I had the funds I would have liked to return by Seaplane.
I guarantee if you book a flight with Hai Au and have perfect weather, you won’t regret it. Well worth the price!
